Welcome to Paris!
The Organizing Committee extends a warm welcome to the attendees of the inaugural Transatlantic Innovations: New Frontiers in Plastic Surgery program.
Transatlantic Innovations marks the beginning of a new concept in education bringing together thought and industry leaders from around the world to discuss and debate scientific advances, over the horizon technology and socio-economic trends affecting our specialty now and in the future.
The conference is designed to be evidence based and highly interactive in format. Throughout the meeting we will take advantage of technology to support an innovative consensus development protocol with real time audience response voting, and vigorous debates. The co-sponsor of the program, The International Committee for Quality Assurance, Medical Technologies and Devices in Plastic Surgery (IQUAM) has convened its Consensus Conference in conjunction with the program. IQUAM recommendations on new plastic surgery technology help inform regulatory policy in Europe and around the world. Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery will publish the Consensus Statement as well as select abstracts from the meeting.
The conference will also feature highly interactive debates in an “Innovation Café” format on Sunday and Monday. Plan to participate in lively discussion with your peers over the pro’s and con’s of Medical Tourism and The Plastic Surgeon and Publicity!
Finally, the conference would not be possible without the support of our Industry Partners, Sientra, KCI, Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Mentor, Allergan, and Liposonix. While no formal exhibits are part of the program, each company will host a hospitality room designed to allow for informal personal meetings with program participants.
Along with our hosts, the Société Française de Chirurgie Plastique Reconstructive et Esthetique (SOFCPRE) we wish you an enjoyable and productive week in Paris, and look forward to your feedback on this inaugural event.
